About Rainbow Montessori
School Hours
The Toddlers start their day at 08.00 − 12.00 Monday to Fridays.
The pre-school starts their day at 08.00 − 12.20/12.30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
All Children must be in their classrooms by 07.55 a.m, ready to start work at 08.00 a.m.
The junior primary finish at 2pm Monday − Thursday and 1pm on Friday
The senior primary finish at 2:30pm Monday − Thursday and 1:15pm on Friday
The school is open from 07.15 a.m − 06.00 p.m.
Please do not be late as you are teaching your child that it is alright to break rules. This is very disruptive for the rest of the class and very embarrassing for your child.
School Fees 2024
APPLICATION FEE
An application fee of R100.00 is payable with submission of your application.
REGISTRATION FEE
Upon acceptance of your child/ren at Rainbow Montessori school a once-off, non-refundable registration fee is payable. R4000 is payable for the first child, R3000 for the second child and R2000 for each child thereafter.

School Uniform
- All Grade children must wear the Rainbow Montessori School uniform.
- No Batman, hunk, or fantasy clothing may be worn.
- No high-heeled shoes are to be worn, as these are extremely bad for their developing spines.
- Please ensure that hair is neatly clipped away from the eyes.
- All long hair must be tied up into a ponytail for health reasons.
- All children need to have a complete set of spare clothing at school.
- All these items must have the child’s name tag on them.
- All children must have a pair of Wellington boots to be left at school for the Winter months, the children may wear slippers for inside work.
- Each child must have a sun hat for Summer and have sunblock applied every morning before school.
- All items must be clearly labelled with the child’s name.

Rainbow Montessori School
The school started in 1995, in the home of Mrs Clark in Kenridge, Durbanville. At the end of the first year there were 10 pupils from the ages of 3 − 6 years. The school was moved to larger premises, a Church building in Eversdal, to accommodate the growing numbers of pupils.
